2011 Omega School “Graduation Celebration” Mural

This mural at Omega School, a high school equivelancy program in Madison, WI, was painted by community members and was funded by the Wisconsin Arts Board.

2011 “The Journey of Our Food"Mural

This mural in Centro Hispano of Dane County's new kitchen is one of a series of murals at Centro Hispano in Madison, WI. It was painted by  West High School SAIL students, UW Educational Outreach Technology & Art students, and community members. It was funded by the Wisconsin Arts Baord and UW Educational Outreach.

2011 "My Beautiful Puerto Rico" Mural

This mural is one of a series of murals atCentro Hispano of Dane County in Madison, WI. It was painted byWest High School SAIL students and was funded by the Wisconsin Arts Board.

 

2011 “We Are All Freedom” Murals

This is a series of 3 murals in the cafeteria at Freedom Elementary School in Freedom, WI. It was painted by 4th & 5th graders with parent volunteers and was funded by the parent group.

 

2010-11 “Community Theatre” Mural

This mural is on the Sun Prairie Civic Theatre rehearsal barn inSun Prairie, WI. It covers 2 sides of the barn. It was painted by SOAR (School of Alternative Resources) high school students and community members. It was funded by the Dane County Cultural Affairs Commission.

2010 “History of Labor in Madison” Mural

This mural is at the Madison Labor Temple. It was designed by Marcus Nickel, who painted about 1/4 of it and then it was completed by Sharon Kilfoy. It was commissioned by the South Central Federation of Labor.

These murals at Omega School, a high school equivelancy program in Madison, WI were painted by middle school students in UW Educational Outreach - Technology & Arts and College for Kids programs.


2010 "Heroes of the Hispanic World" Murals

These murals are part of the series of murals at Centro Hispano of Dane County in Madison, WI.
A panel of Latino members of the community chose heroes from the Hispanic world whose portraits inspire Latino youth. They were painted by Latino youth and community members. American Girl Fund for Children and the Wisconsin Arts Board funded the murals.

2009 “The History of Willy Street in the 70's - Changing the World through Art” Mural

This mural was painted by community members and youth participants at the Wil-Mar Neighborhood Center and installed at the Social Justice Center in Madison,WI. It is accompanied by oral histories of the artists and activists depicted.(See Community / Residencies.) The project was funded by the MG&E Foundation, the Wisconsin Arts Board, the Dane County Cultural Affairs Commission & the Madison Arts Commission.


2009 "Foods of the Hispanic World" Mural  

This mural - in the series of murals at Centro Hispano of Dane County in Madison, WI  - covers all 4 walls of the kitchen. It was painted by high school students in the Work Experience Youth summer program and was funded by the American Girl Fund for Children.


2009 Family Resource Center "Apprendiendos Juntos" Mural

This mural - in the series of murals at Centro Hispano of Dane County in Madison, WI - is in the child care area of the Family Resource Center. It was painted by Latino youth and community members. It was funded by American Girl Fund for Children.

These murals are part of the series of murals at Centro Hispano of Dane County in Madison, WI.
They were painted by middle school students in the UW Educational Outreach Technology & Art and College for Kids program and by community members. UW Educational Outreach and the American Girl Fund for Children funded these murals.


2009 “Mi Casa es Su Casa” Mural

This is the first mural in the series of murals at Centro Hispano of Dane County in Madison, WI. It is in the lobby. Students from UW Educational Outreach Technology & Art program, Latino youth and community members painted the mural. It was funded by UW Educational Outreach, the Wisconsin Arts Board and the American Girl Fund for Children.

2007-9 Sun Prairie “Diversity!” Mural

This mural is at Angell Fireman's Park in Sun Prairie, WI - the home of the Sun Prairie Corn Festival. It covers all 4 sides of the building. It was painted by SOAR (School of Alternative Resources) high school students and community members. It was funded by the Sun Prairie Youth and Family Commission and by the United Way “By Youth for Youth” program.

2008 Prairie View Middle School “Welcome!” Mural

This mural is at Prairie View Middle School in Sun Prairie, WI. It was painted by English as a Second Language students. The ESL teacher funded the mural through the United Way “By Youth for Youth” program.



2008 Tomahawk Elementary School “Conservation” Mural

This mural at Tomahawk Elementary School  in Tomahawk, WI was painted by the students, teachers and parents. It was funded by the parent teacher group.



2007 “A Time for Kidz” Mural

This mural is at Center for Families in Madison, WI. It was painted by middle school students in the UW Educational Outreach  - Technology and Arts program. UW Educational Outreach funded the project.

2006 “Peaceable Jungle” and "Atwood is the Hottest!" Murals

These murals are at the Atwood Youth Center in Madison,WI. They were painted by middle school students in UW Educational Outreach  - Technology and the Arts & College for Kids programs along with community members and children attending the summer camp and day care programs. UW Educational Outreach funded the project.

2006 Lakeview Elementary School “Our Community” Murals

This is a series of murals at Lakeview Elementary School in Madison, WI painted by the students. The murals were funded by the Wisconsin Arts Board.

2005-6 "Mural Magic Summer Camp" Murals

These murals are on the studio at the Williamson Street Art Center in Madison, WI. They cover all 4 sides of the building and were painted by students during 2 summer camps. The students - mainly middle school students - ranged in age from 7 - 60.


2003-4 "Celebrating the Heart of a Neighborhood" Mural

This mural, at Wil-Mar Neighborhood Center in Madison, WI, commemorates Wil-Mar's 30th anniversary. It was painted by community members, summer camp participants and after school children. It was funded by the  Wisconsih Arts Board and the Dane County Cultural Affairs Commission.


2001–02 Lowell Elementary School "Pathways of Connection" Murals

This is a series of murals at Lowell Elementary School in Madison, WI. They were painted by the students with parent volunteers, and funded by the Dane County Cultural Affairs Commission.

1993 "The Story of Skating" Mural

This mural, at the Madison Ice Arena in Madison, WI, covers all 4 walls of the studio rink.  It was painted by a combination of Work Experience Youth and figure skaters. It was funded by the Dane County Cultural Affairs Commission and Madison Citiarts.

These murals were painted at the Willy Bear Restaurant in Madison, WI. They were funded by the owners of the restaurant.
